Screening Eagle Technologies is pleased to announce an exciting new offering and product upgrades for Equotip Live portable hardness testers. The new upgrades and Live offering introduce the next generation of portable hardness testers to make work life easier for users, even on the most demanding projects.
Equotip Live is a portable hardness testing system with a dedicated mobile app. Now, users of Equotip Live Leeb and Live UCI also gain full access to Screening Eagle Workspace platform for optimized data management.
The Workspace platform enables users to export, back-up and restore, evaluate, and share hardness testing data fast and easily. This brings convenience to a whole new level with all measurements in one place for analysis and reporting. Workspace also makes the data accessible to all stakeholders from anywhere, at any time, via a simple url link.
Screening Eagle’s Proceq team have also developed significant product upgrades for hardware, firmware and software components for the Equotip UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) hardness testing probes, thus elevating functionality and durability of the products to the next level.
Users of the Equotip Live UCI and Equotip 550 UCI also benefit from increased traceability as the only products on the market with traceable, calibrated diamonds and ISO 17025-accredited diamond certificate. This brings peace of mind to the quality of the test and fosters legitimacy of documentation for audits. All new Equotip devices come with ISO 17025 accredited calibration, according to world’s most demanding UCI standard -DIN50159. The DIN 50159 standard not only has the strictest measurement deviation tolerances, but in contrast to some other standards (e.g. ASTM A1038) it has a rigorous check for repeatability (precision), hence the customers receive accurate and precise devices.
Ultrasonic contact impedance is used for hardness testing of welds, heat treated surfaces, turbine blades, and many metallic parts within the machinery sector. Equotip Live UCI and Equotip 550 UCI bring a unique efficiency to these applications thanks to true Vickers 6507-2 compliant diamond indenter, and 3-in-1 probe with electronically adjusted testforces HV1/HV5/HV10 which is totally unique on the market.
With the potential to work on a huge range of applications, combined with the software to manage and store as much data as needed, quality managers can play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of any project. And with a user-friendly design, the learning curve is short, enabling more quality assurance through modern inspection.
Equotip have been a leading brand of portable hardness testers for metal and other materials since being developed by Proceq in 1975. The latest developments reaffirm Equotip as the reliable, durable, accurate choice for professionals in many industries including aerospace, oil & gas, transportation and power generation.
