Proceq Releases New Rechargeable Battery delivering 8 Hours of Concrete Scanning Power

Screening Eagle's Proceq has announced the launch of a new rechargeable, extended use-time battery pack for the GP8800 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Designed to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, the new Lithium-ion battery pack provides up to 8 hours of continuous scanning time on a single charge, empowering professionals to complete projects with high efficiency.

The Proceq GP8800, known for its compact size and high-resolution imaging, is now even more versatile with the introduction of the new Li-ion battery pack accessory. With flexible charging capabilities, via USB, the new battery enables users to focus on their work without worrying about power constraints. The ability to recharge anywhere ensures minimal disruption to workflow.

The new Li-ion battery is backward compatible with all GP8800 units, featuring a stronger magnetic connection to the sensor for reliable performance. The GP8800's ultraportable design, combined with the extended battery life, makes it ideal for a wide range of applications, including scanning tight corners, curved and irregular concrete surfaces, areas beneath pipes, and assessing complex concrete structures.

Key Benefits of the new Li-ion battery pack:

  • Increased Efficiency: Up to 8 hours of uninterrupted scanning time and minimized battery swaps.
  • Extended Scanning Time: New Li-ion battery delivers up to 8 hours of uninterrupted scanning.
  • Flexible Charging: Recharge anywhere via USB, including car, laptop, or public charging stations.

The Proceq GP8800 utilizes Stepped Frequency Continuous Wave (SFCW) GPR technology to detect both shallow and deep objects with high clarity. Data results are displayed instantly on an iPad, with 3D and augmented reality visualization options for simplified data interpretation.

From now on, the GP8800 sensor unit will be available to purchase with the new PowerPack Kit which includes the Li-ion rechargeable battery, plus two flight-safe battery packs to extend the use time up to 12 hours.
