The ZRM 6010 makes the “continuous wetting” method possible through an “external beam” retroreflectometer. This means that the projected RL light source will hit the ground at a point that is ahead of the ZRM 6010 (where the simulated rainfall is located).
The high-resolution camera takes top quality pictures of the measured road or airport markings – the built-in zoom allows for detailed inspection of the marking, so the embedding of the glass beads can be checked easily without the need to crouch down on the road with a magnifying glass.
In zoom mode, a true scale is displayed so that the size of the embedded glass beads can be determined.
The picture is stored together with the measuring value, so it can be used as a direct reference.
Of course the picture will also be downloaded to the free versatile mapping and data analysis software MappingTools.
